DESCRIPTION:We will explain two results about (linear and nonlinear) transp
 ort equations\, quasiconformal maps\, and vector fields with unbounded div
 ergence. Originally\, these results are motivated by a difficult problem o
 n Muckenhoupt weights and elliptic PDE. However\, classical harmonic analy
 sis tools allow to reformulate this problem in variational BMO terms\, and
  then a theorem by H. M. Reimann brings naturally the connection to the tr
 ansport theory.
