SUMMARY:Seminar Analysis: Maria Laura Delle Monache (INRIA Sophia Antipolis
  - OPALE Project-Team)
DESCRIPTION:Several phenomena in traffic flow can be modeled through the us
e of conservation laws. We present two PDE-ODE coupled models that are use
d in different traffic situations. First\, we consider a model that applie
s to moving bottlenecks and then we consider a model that applies in contr
ol problems for highway ramp metering. We provide a rigorous analytical fr
amework for the Cauchy and Riemann problems and we show some numerical sim
 ulations.
