SUMMARY:BZ Seminar in Analysis: Christian Heinzl (Munich)
DESCRIPTION:In 1957\, Huang and Yang predicted an asymptotic formula for th
e ground state energy of a dilute Fermi gas in the thermodynamic limit up
to the third order in the expansion. This formula highlights a remarkable
universality\, showing that the correlation energy depends solely on the i
 nteractions scattering length. In a joint work with E. Giacomelli\, P. T.
Nam and Robert Seiringer we give a proof of this conjecture.
