A symplectic version of the Chevalley restriction theorem for polar representations

In this talk you will learn about Chevalley theorem for Lie algebras, commuting scheme (associated with a Lie algebra, a theta-group, or a polar representation), symplectic reduction (associated with a representation of a reductive group), symplectic singularities and their resolutions, and about the beautiful relations between all these things. I will mention several questions remained open for decades and explained some recent approaches to try to answer them. This talk will be elementary with many examples and shall provide a good opportunity to learn about representation theory of reductive groups and the Lie theory.
