DMI Master’s Graduation Ceremony 2026

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, this year’s master’s graduation ceremony for the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science took place in the historic premises of the Museum Kleines Klingental.

The opening remarks by the department chair, Prof. Dr. Marcus J. Grote, were followed by a guest lecture by Prof. Dr. Philippe Claude Cattin on the topic “From Equations to Impact: Shaping the World Beyond Your Degree,” as well as a personal reflection on his time as a student by Tim Bachmann.
The event focused on honoring the graduates of the Master’s programs in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Actuarial Science, as well as presenting the topics of their respective Master’s theses. A total of 25 students received their master’s diplomas in person. During the reception that followed, guests had the opportunity to toast the successful completion of their studies and bring the evening to a close in a festive atmosphere.
