Master Ceremony of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science 2025
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the Master's Graduation Ceremony of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science took place at Museum Kleines Klingental.
The welcome speech held by the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Volker Roth, was followed by Science Slams about "Statistical Literacy oder wie man sich ein schwieriges Thema versüsst" and "The health economic parameter QALY: How to improve the quality of life of a zombie?" held by Dr. Mehmet Aksözen and PD Dr. Jasmin Barman-Aksözen and a personal review of her time at the University of Basel by Yamina Brunner.
The focus of the event was, of course, the honoring of the graduates of the Master's programmes in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science and Mathematics. The evening ended with an aperitif in the inner courtyard.
