On Almgren's stratification principle

In this talk I will discuss some recent results (obtained in collaboration with M. Focardi and A. Marchese) on an abstract version of Almgren's stratification principle. Following recent works of Cheeger and coauthors, we formulate an abstract stratification principle for the singular set of variational problems, and give some applications in the case of minimal submanifolds.
