Classification of solutions of the radial energy-critical wave equation

The quintic focusing wave equation in space dimension 3 has an explicit positive stationary solution W. In this talk I will show that any globally defined or bounded radial solution of the equation is asymptotically the sum of rescaled W plus a dispersive term. This is a joint work with Carlos Kenig and Frank Merle.
