PhD Summer School: "Ethical, Legal, and Societal Implications of Big Data and Data Analytics"
Education and training in Data Analytics and Big Data usually focuses on technical aspects, especially w. r. t. the underlying methods for linking existing data collections and for analyzing such integrated collections. While these methods are essential in concrete applications, also awareness on non-technical aspects like the implications of Data Analytics on society, legal aspects, and ethical aspect are equally important. This summer school aims at providing an introduction to these three areas for members of the PhD program Data Analytics by experts from the humanities, ethics, and law.
