In this talk we will discuss how various methods from birational and algebraic geometry may be used to classify and explicitly construct a specific family of isomonodromic deformations over the five punctured sphere. These objects (which we will introduce during the course of the talk) have been linked to the study of algebraic solutions of certain partial differential equations and offer some interesting ways of bridging some algebraic, geometric and analytical topics.
