The «We are Computer Science» association is happy to invite you to a screening of the fascinating documentary «Picture a Scientist».

«PICTURE A SCIENTIST chronicles the groundswell of researchers who are writing a new chapter for women scientists. Biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring lead viewers on a journey deep into their own experiences in the sciences, ranging from brutal harassment to years of subtle slights. Along the way, from cramped laboratories to spectacular field stations, we encounter scientific luminaries – including social scientists, neuroscientists, and psychologists – who provide new perspectives on how to make science itself more diverse, equitable, and open to all».

You can watch the trailer of the documentary here.

The screening will be available from May 28, 12:00pm until May 30, 12:00pm via a personalized Vimeo link. You can watch the movie anytime during this period. To get access to the link, please fill inthis form.

Since there is only a limited number of tickets available, they will be handed out to members of the «We are Computer Science»association with first priority followed by students and members of Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Basel and then to all other applicants.
